Candidate Form - Completing a DBS Check for International Candidates

1. Enter the details of your current address using the boxes provided
2. If you have a DBS profile number select ‘yes’ from the dropdown box and then type in the number. If you do not have a DBS profile number or you are not sure what this is select ‘no’. This is not a mandatory field
3. Select ‘yes’ or ‘no’  under the question that asks if you would like a copy of the DBS certificate. If you select 'yes’ you will be asked if you want the certificate sent to your home address, if you want it sent to another address you will be prompted to type in an alternative address

4. On the next section of the form you will be asked to choose 1 document from the list of Group1A documents. This document must confirm your right to work in the UK.

5. Next, you will be asked to choose a document that will confirm your identity and your address, this can be multiple documents. For more document options, select 'Show more document options?'

6. For the next part of the DBS check you will need to verify your identity. You will come to a page that asks you to 'Submit Data and verify your identity documents'
7. Once you hit the submit button you will be taken back to the Welcome Page of the screening form, you will notice that the 'Verify ID' button is still green, click on this button to begin to verify your ID. You will be taken to a different screen to do this.

8. The next screen you will come to will ask you to Accept & Proceed to the 'Statement of fair Processing'
9. If you have a document that confirm your identity and it can be digitally verified (i.e. a passport) then you will be taken to a site called 'Mitek'. When you come to Mitek's site you will be asked to 'Accept All Cookies' to continue
10. Once you have agreed to the cookies you will be asked to 'Agree and Continue' to consent to Mitek processing your data for the purpose of verifying your ID
11. Next, you will be asked to provide documents that will confirm your identity and your proof of address.

12. Once you have uploaded the required documents, you will now need to complete a liveness check. This is done so that your identity can be matched against the documents you have uploaded. This is done by taking a 'Selfie' in real time using your mobile phone camera or desktop camera

13. All done! Once you have successfully taken your 'Selfie' your liveness check is complete and you will be taken back to the screening form which will show that all checks have now been submitted for processing. You may need to refresh this page to show that the checks have been completed.
