Right to Work Check - UK/Irish Birth Certificate

For this part of the form you will be asked to provide details so that a Right to Work check can be conducted.

If you only have a UK/Irish Birth Certificate please follow the instructions below

Select your nationality from the dropdown list
In the next section select ‘Birth or Adoption certificate for a UK or Irish national combined with proof of national insurance number’ from the dropdown list
Click ‘Save’ to move onto the next stage
On the next screen you will see a QR code, using your mobile phone use your camera to scan the QR code. Alternatively you can input your mobile number and a text containing a link will be sent to you, click on the link to verify your right to work
You will then arrive on a site called ‘TrustID’ where you will see a button that says ‘Get Started’, click on this button to begin verifying your right to work check
Next, read the terms and conditions, if you are in agreement click on the ‘I Consent’ button to begin
The next page will ask you to read the text provided, click ‘next’
The first question that will be asked is ‘Are you a British or Irish National?, select ‘yes’ to this question
On the next page, from the list provided, select ‘UK Birth/Adoption certificate’ or ’Irish Birth/Adoption certificate’
Next, upload a copy of your birth certificate, click on the ‘upload image’ button to do this
Next you will be asked to provide a document that will show your national insurance number, select a document from the list provided. Once you have done this you will be prompted to upload a copy of this document
The next part of the process will ask if the same name is shown on both documents, click the applicable answer
1. If you select ‘no’ to this question, you will be asked if you have a document to show your name change. If you select ‘no’ to this question you will be taken back to the start. Please note, you cannot complete your Right to work check if you do not have evidence of your name change as we cannot verify your Identity without it
If you select 'yes’ you will need to upload an image of this document
Next you will be asked if you have any documents not valid for Right to work, only select ‘yes’ if you wish to provide further documentation
Lastly you need to complete a ‘selfie’ to confirm your liveness check, click on the button that says ‘take a selfie’ look at the camera and take a photo of yourself. Once you have taken a photo of yourself, click ‘continue’
When the photo has been taken successfully the next page will say ‘Thank you, you can now close this window’. Once you have closed the window you need to go back to the candidate form, you may need to refresh your browser to show that your Right to Work has gone through
