Right to Work Check - Out of date British/Irish passport

For this part of the form you will be asked to provide details so that a Right to Work check can be conducted.

1. Select your nationality from the dropdown list provided
2. Select the identity document you have to complete this check

If you have an out of date British/Irish passport please follow the instructions below

1. Select your nationality from the dropdown list
2. Next, select ‘Expired British passport’ from the dropdown list
3. Click ‘continue’ to move onto the next stage

5. On the next screen you will see a QR code, using your mobile phone use your camera to scan the QR code. Alternatively you can input your mobile number and a text containing a link will be sent to you, click on the link to verify your right to work

5. You will then arrive on a site called ‘TrustID’ where you will see a button that says ‘Get Started’, click on this button to begin verifying your right to work check
6. Next, read the terms and conditions, if you are in agreement click on the ‘I Consent’ button to begin
7. The next page will ask you to read the text provided, click ‘next’

5. The first question is, ‘Are you a British or Irish National?’, click ‘yes’
6. If you have selected ‘Yes’ the next page will show a list of accepted documents, choose ‘UK or Irish passport’
7. On the next page, upload a photo of your passport, ensure you have this to hand so that you can take a picture in real time. Click ‘upload’

5. The next section will ask if you have any other documents you wish to upload. You only need to upload additional documents if you need to evidence a name change
6. Lastly you need to complete a ‘selfie’ to confirm your liveness check, click on the button that says ‘take a selfie’ look at the camera and take a photo of yourself. Once you have taken a photo of yourself, click ‘continue’

5. When the photo has been taken successfully the next page will say ‘Thank you, you can now close this window’. Once you have closed the window you need to go back to the Secure Screening Services candidate form, you may need to refresh your browser to show that your right to work check is in progress
